A: The designer refines the design in coordination with the client to ensure it meets their approval before finalization.

A: Yes, the Designer can modify Pre-Design element locations and properties as needed to optimize and finalize the design.

A: Use the Path tool to draw cable routing lines on the floor plan, showing paths from elements to endpoints.

A: Building codes, client requirements, electrical codes, and industry best practices should guide the design.

Q: How do I refine the layout of elements on a survey image during the design stage?


A: During the design stage, the designer's job is to refine the layout of elements on a survey image. The designer can fully edit the icons on a survey image and make changes with items in the right toolbar and left toolbar. The designer can also add in more icons if needed or remove icons that the Surveyor pre-selected. Once the design is complete, the designer can push it to the take-off stage.

Question: How do I view the start and end dates of a project during the design stage?


A: To view the start and end dates of a project during the design stage, you can use the 'Opportunity Information' dropdown. Here, the start date and end date of a project are displayed. This is important for keeping track of the project timeline. This is also in all other stages besides LiveBuilt from employee portal


Q: How do I view the assigned employees for a project during the design stage?


A: To view the assigned employees for a project during the design stage, you can use the 'Opportunity Team' dropdown. This dropdown displays the assigned employees for a project, including the Account Manager, Surveyor, Designer, Proposal, and Technicians. This allows you to see who is involved in the project and their respective roles.  This is also in all other stages besides LiveBuilt from employee portal


Q: How do I delete a project during the design stage?


A: To delete a project during the design stage, you can use the 'Admin Control' dropdown. This is where an admin can delete a project. Please note that this option is not visible from the Designer employee portal.


Q: How do I view the information of the elements implemented into a project during the design stage?


A: To view the information of the elements implemented into a project during the design stage, you can go to the 'Elements' folder that appears next to the survey image file in the main pre-design  subpage. It displays a list of all of the elements that were implemented into a project, and clicking on the individual elements in this folder displays more information.
